Trikeri is a small mountainous village located on the southern tip of the Pelion Peninsula, Magnesia. In this traditional village, you will find old architecture and stone pebble paths that make you wonder whether time stood still or not. It is located on a hill providing for excellent vistas and panoramas. The churches Agios Athanasios, Agii Anargiri and Agia Triada have been built in the 18th century and are well worth a visit. Other highlights nearby are the picturesque fishing village Agia Kiriaki, the small and quiet island Palio Trikeri and a tour to one of its many monasteries. You can also book a tour to the coastal port city Volos in Thessaly or a tough hike to Mount Pelion which is the place where Chiron the Centaur taught many ancient Greek heroes. The seas around Trikeri are of the clearest blue, the weather is always sunny and the sandy beaches and bays are remote and beautiful.

Trikeri is surrounded by different masses of water providing ample dive locations in the area. First, dive and sail boats often make the trip towards one of the islands of the Sporades situated in the Aegean Sea to the east. Second, the Pagasitic Gulf (Pagasitikos Gulf, Gulf of Volos), which is the huge protected bay between Volos and the peninsula. The last destination is the North Evoean Gulf or Trikeri Channel connecting the Pagasitic Gulf with the Aegean Sea. This busy shipping lane is home to the infamous Lefteris Reef and its many shipwrecks. Its scuba diving is great with plenty of soft corals, plants, marine life, ancient artifacts and wrecks.
